“NEW FUND COMMITTED TO SUPPORTING MIGRANT WORKERS

DURING AND BEYOND COVID-19

• Aims to strengthen social support for the economic and health security of migrant workers

• Will collaborate with migrant worker organisations (“MWOs”)

• Commitment of S$1 million

SINGAPORE, 30 April 2020 Singapore-based venture philanthropy organisation LEAP201 has

established a new fund to support migrant workers in Singapore during and beyond the COVID-19

pandemic. The fund aims to provide assistance beyond the initial months of the outbreak, helping

migrant workers with issues that are expected to arise in the coming months.

The LEAP for Migrant Workers (“L4M”) Fund has received committed capital of S$1 million from anchor

donors, Kewalram Chanrai Group and United Overseas Bank, and other initial donors including:

• Loh Boon Chye

• Michael Lien

• Dilhan Pillay

• Patrick Lee
