Abuja Eye Hospital Monthly Report March 2026

-A total of 29,000 outpatients was treated at the hospital, ( highest in a quarter) while a -further 8,500 patients were checked at the 31 new and review camps

-3,738 surgeries were performed during the quarter including 2318 free surgeries.

-Dr Prema, Retina specialist from Aravind, Coimbatore had visited the Abuja hospital during this quarter.  During her visit, a total of 379 patients were treated, and 67 Retina surgeries were performed.  This includes 3-month-old twins who were suffering from Retinopathy of Prematurity ( ROP). 

-Dr Utam, our senior Ophthalmologist, is scheduled to visit India during this quarter for focused training on Retina surgeries, so that we can make Retina treatment available on a regular basis, instead of periodic visits by specialists. 

-The expansion project is progressing quite well. Entering the critical phase of the project (next 9 to 12 months).

: have placed the order for 2 lifts with ThyssenKrupp

: target for completion to be the end of first quarter 2027.
